Westland Incinerator Co. Ltd. is one of the largest manufactures of Thermal Oxidation Systems in Western Canada. The Company has been in existence since 1984 and has supplied its systems to many industries including oil, paper and pulp, mining, hospitals, etc. Some of Westland's noted customers include BHP Mines, Encana, ATCO and the Department of National Defence. The company conducts joint research with the Alberta Research Council, a leading industrial research center. Having one of the best research and development departments in the industry, Westland is also the lowest cost producer of technological efficient and state of the art thermal oxidation systems that can be used for hazardous, bio-medical, industrial, and municipal wastes. Westland also manufactures gas and diesel crematoriums.

The company's bio-medical/hazardous waste thermal oxidation technology reduces emissions and has an efficiency of 99.9994%. These units have a starved-air, dual chamber system that ensures complete combustion and a scrubbing system, which removes particulate and acid gases such as HCl, SOx, and NOx. Even the future CCME Canada wide standards for dioxins and furans, to be met by 2006, can be met today. Westland's systems are oxygen sensing PLC controlled as compared to traditional temperature control, which helps in achieving quicker response time to modulate and operate the system with more efficiency. In addition, Westland's Venturi Scrubber with automatic controls is one of the most advanced products on the market today. Westland's thermal oxidation systems are available in sizes from 50 kg/hour to 2,000 kg/hour.
